After throwing up her toenails, she wiped her face, got dressed and went to see her attorney.

Rumor has it ~, “he likes his cars hot, his horses fast, and his women smart.” Work begins; the summer heats up, and so does the romance between a resistant Elise, and the man in cowboy boots.
Just a hint of what lay ahead for Elise. Family and love not to be ignored, are woven through each page of Spencer’s Point. Overcoming the past, she forges a future. The characters, the plot, and the authentic New England coastal setting made this book an enjoyable read.

In Spencer's point you get to know Elise Baner, a woman overcoming betrayal and loss only to be thrust into deeper turmoil after receiving death threats on her life. You learn who and what gives her strength to face her challenges. She falls in love with a handsome carpenter while at the same time a landscaper is trying to win her love. Elise is independent, intelligent, successful, honest, beautiful, caring, and courageous. The well-rounded cast of characters, the plot, and the authentic New England coastal setting made this book an enjoyable read, in spite of many punctuation and other grammatical errors.

Thoroughly entertaining romantic thriller
By Janet T.
“I’m kind of a dual citizen. I have saltwater in my veins and caliche clay in my heart.”
In her debut romantic thriller, author Lynn Dailey uses such spot-on dialogue to illustrate the traits of her protagonist, Elise Baner. The story originates in Elise’s adopted home of Texas and the action progresses to the New England coast of her childhood. There, a group of characters work with Elise in renovating the old family home place. More than one member of the group develops feelings for her. This lead female character has been recently wronged and struggles with her conflicted feelings for the new men in her life.
Danger enters the picture when Elise’s past casts shadows on her newfound happiness. Fiercely independent, she works to resolve events on her own with mixed results culminating in a surprising and terrifying final turn of events.
With rich prose utilizing all of the senses, Ms. Dailey immerses the reader in cultures ranging from Texan to native American to Mexican, spicing the dialogue with Spanish or Texan bon mots from time to time. The reader will delight at her descriptions of the New England coast and especially of the transformation of the old home place as it is renovated. Dailey skillfully weaves backstory into the increasingly romantic narrative to round out each of her characters.
Next up? I’ve already purchased “The Landing” which is Book II in the Spencer Trilogy!

Held my interest
By Cwb
I originally started to read when I realized I knew the author from teenage years. I was pleasantly surprised that she did have good material, as a new author. Some chapters needed a better flow, and editing. But,I found it to be a good read. Have downloaded the next 2 books and expect to enjoy them as much.
Congrats to her
